I’m a 31 year old man with a neuromuscular disorder looking to hire a support worker to assist me at my home and work on Mondays 7:30am-4pm, Tuesdays 8am-4pm, Wednesdays 7am-5:30pm and Thursdays 7:30am-4pm. The position is temporary and has a rate of pay of $29.5/hour.
Duties include:
Assisting with toileting and completing manual lifts and transfers of 80 lbs 4-6 times per day
Assisting with personal care and hygiene (dressing, showering, shaving, etc)
Assisting with meal preparation and grocery shopping
Assisting with household chores (doing dishes, laundry, cleaning)
Accompanying me to work, meetings and appointments
Assisting with medication disbursement and respiratory exercises.
This position is ideal for a student or anyone who is keen to help others. Prior personal care experience is not required but a major asset. A Class 5 driver license is crucial as well. Must be comfortable with cats.
Having a Covid-19 vaccination is a condition of employment.
