Unique Respite Caregiver Opportunity
We are a family from East Abbotsford with 2 fun and loving young adults with special needs that live in our home.
Both adults are high functioning with no mentionable behavioural challenges. They are easygoing and for the most part can care for themselves.
We are looking for a caregiver that can provide approximately 10 days of respite per month in our home in exchange for free rent in our beautiful fully furnished 1 bedroom, self contained, ground level apartment with beautiful mountain views. The apartment also includes free utilities, cable, high-speed internet, parking and laundry.
In our absence the respite caregiver will provide companionship, some supervision and some reminders for them around some of their daily routines.
We can be some what flexible on which 10 days of the month the respite will need to be provided and we are willing to work with the successful candidate to come up with a set schedule that works for everyone.
The caregiver must be at least 19 years of age, have a valid driving license, provide a driving abstract report, be double vaccinated, be willing to do a criminal record check, & have a valid first aid/ CPR certificate (or willing to get one).
Any training needed will be provided and preference will be given to a single person.
