Looking for a reliable, flexible, friendly, and enthusiastic part-time Personal Care Attendant to work with an active quadriplegic female who is employed and living in East Vancouver. The shifts available are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays 6 PM-10 PM, plus extra hours e.g. medical appointments, errands, and occasional fill-in shifts. Possible other shifts may become available in the future. A typical shift is 3 to 4 hours in length. The Attendant will assist with personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping. The Attendant may also assist the client with activities and commitments in the community. The Attendant must have knowledge of catheter care, and mechanical lift devices, and be able to follow oral and written instructions. A female is preferred, and previous experience is an asset. Training will be provided. Only the applicants who send resumes will be considered for the position. Compensation $21.00 per hour. This position begins in late May.
