I am looking for an energetic support worker for my 12 year old son who has a seizure disorder. Preference will be given to those who can stay a minimum of one year.
Pay: $17 per hour
Days/hours:
Days and hours vary due to my work (as I work in retail), but hours total to 27.5 hours a week during the school year and 40+ hours during Spring Break, Summer Break and Winter Break.
Location:
Port Coquitlam in Citadel Heights
Requirements:
• Ability to drive – as you will need to do drop off and pick ups for school, or willing to take bus to and from school.
• Building self-confidence and life skills e.g. helping how to prepare simple meals, teaching to clean up after oneself, teaching calming methods
• Supporting him to do things outside the home that is not technology based e.g. going on trail walk, any outdoor/form of exercise!
Additional qualities:
• Great sense of humor
• Experience is a bonus, but not a requirement
