CAREGIVER/ CARE AIDE / NANNY/ HOME SUPPORT WORKER needed for 12-year-old girl with cerebral palsy. Child is non-verbal and totally dependent on care.
Shifts are Monday to Friday : 2 pm to 9 pm (7 hours).
Wage range is between $18 to $20 an Hour.
Expected Start Date: May 17, 2021
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Daily Care (feeding orally, changing diaper, bathing, giving medication, daily stretches)
• Physical Activity (in Bike, Walker, Wheelchair)
• ***Housekeeping for an hour each day (Cleaning, Laundry, Meal preparation, Ironing)
• Supervision of both older child and younger sibling may be needed occasionally
REQUIREMENTS:
• Prior experience performing Daily Care (feeding orally, changing diaper, bathing, giving medication, daily stretches)
• MUST be willing to feed orally with spoon and bottle
• MUST have experience using LIFTS or TRANSFER equipment
• MUST be willing to learn other equipment handling (Bike, Stair Climber, Walker)
• MUST enjoy working with children with disabilities, confident, energetic and physically fit.
• MUST be patient, reliable and dependable
LOCATION : We live near Lake City Skytrain and are accessible via transit but there is about a 10 minute walk through short cut. Own transport and driving is a plus because shifts end later at night.
