My son requires care from 6 pm to 11 pm. (5 hrs) for 5 days a week. Caregiver needs to be a caring individual, with experience with autistic individuals. My moderate, autistic thirty year old son is non-verbal and communicates with his own gestures and body language. He displays non-violent behaviour issues and does not require medication for it.
Caregiver does not need to prepare dinners, but needs to do an activity such as read books, play games or go on walks with him. Can take public transit and vehicle is not a necessity.
Personal hygiene should be done before bedtime. He doesn’t have any problems going to sleep.
If the applicant chooses, he may have the option to live with my son on a permanent basis. The newly built suite has a separate entrance that is furnished with a complete kitchen, laundry and his own bedroom.
