Job Description

Mon, Fri, Sat – Day time
possibility of afternoons

Community Support Worker certificate, or equivalent experience
Ability to relate supportively to a person with developmental disabilities and mental health issues
Must have strong ability to enforce boundaries and expectations and have strong leadership skills
Ability to model appropriate behavior (conduct, performance, concern for people, morale, compliance with program policy and procedures, work performance standards, professionalism, ethics and professional integrity, social relational skills)
BC driver’s license
Basic First Aid and CPR certificate
Criminal Record Check

Skill in respectfully supporting people with different intellectual needs
Knowledge of the local community
Ability to work flexible hours
Show initiative, range of interests, compassion, be reliable, dependable, creative, strong respectful values and positive attitude.

Provide 1:1 daytime support, promote physical, social and emotional development and well being of the supported individual.
