Community Inclusion and Overnight Respite

Job Description

LOOKING FOR 1 OR 2 COMMUNITY INCLUSION WORKERS (CAREGIVER)-WILLING TO TRAIN: No direct experience necessary. Must be willing to obtain first aid/CPR training upon hiring and pass a criminal record check (vulnerable sector). This position exists to provide client with fun community/social outings and to provide employer with breaks. The shifts available are :

Saturday 11am-Sunday 11am ( 24 hour shift is paid as a flat rate of $275.00)

Sundays 11am-5pm 6hrs at $20

And 2 additional shifts 11am-5pm during weekdays also available 6hrs at $20/hr. These days could be flexible to accommodate other employment.

Candidates will be inclusive minded, kind and inspired to find activities for client. Client is a young female adult who is wheelchair user. The client communicates with some modified signs and is non verbal. Duties include: taking client swimming and community activities, personal care, feeding client blended meals (precooked provided), light cleaning/laundry as client needs and supporting client to visit friends and family. There is plenty of time for breaks and rest throughout the day and the client sleeps throughout the night. The employer will provide all necessary training and all necessary equipment. There is a clean private suite with a private bedroom for caregiver to use during overnight shift. Having a driver’s license is preferred but not mandatory.
