We are currently seeking to hire a personal support worker for our 19 year old fun-loving daughter who has Cerebral Palsy. She lives on the west end of Maple Ridge just off the Golden Ears Bridge. We are searching for someone who is kind, patient, responsible, willing to be a team member, and who has at least 6 months experience as a caregiver.
Shift & Hours:
Monday to Sunday 10 am- 6pm Evenings also for bedtime care
Compensation:
$22.00-$25.00/hour/negotiable
Responsibilities include( but may not be limited to):
Helping with personal care including shower , washroom care, dressing, grooming and feeding, standing transfers.
Outings in the community.
Light housekeeping.
Helping with school work, playing games, and doing crafting.
Possibly some meal prep
Administering medications
Requirements:
Must be patient and kind.
Safety conscious.
Positive and outgoing personality
Must be willing to learn how to use Augmentative Alternative Communication device. (Ipad Touch Chat and Tobii Eyegaze)
Must be fully vaccinated.
Our daughter is vaccinated, but remains vulnerable and more susceptible to the severe symptoms of Covid-19 and to be protected from risk of transmission, candidates will require proof of vaccination prior to employment.
