Caregiver for twin daughters with cerebral palsy

Job Description

Our daughters are wonderful, bright 10 year old twins who have quadriplegia cerebral palsy. They are very social and enjoy silliness and have creative minds. Their smiles bring joy to those around!

For this position, we are looking for the right fit for our daughters as many of the skills can be easily learned. They both have G tubes and therefore experience or willingness to learn G tube feeding is needed.

We are looking for someone who is patient and enthusiastic and has a genuine enjoyment working with children. Strong both mentally and physically and who will enjoy spending time with each of the girls either together or one on one at times. Activities include: reading books, working with communication tech, fun/silly time, going for walks and learning activities.

This role includes: Companionship and Play, Multiple areas of support for Personal Care, Developmental Activities and Exercises, using lift transfers,range of motion stretch and massaging, Communication Devices, Administering medication. Training will be provided.

Before and/or after school support and/or occasional weekend/evening respite.
We are looking for one or more individuals depending on schedule and availability. We are looking to develop a long-term relationship(s) to help our family for the years ahead
