We are looking for a support person/BI in Port Alberni for our 14 year old son who has Autism and Cerebral Palsy. He is ambulatory/walks and talks, and is very social!! He is potty trained and can feed himself. We are looking for someone with a vehicle who can pick him up from the high school and take him out in the community to work on social skills, personal safety, independence, and some fun activities. The hours would be approximately 6-8 hrs a week. Pay would be negotiable based on experience/training. We use Autism funding for payment. We have a behavioural consultant who can provide support. If experience is lacking that is ok, as long as you are willing to learn and are teachable.
