We are looking to hire a part-time Behavioural Interventionist to work in our home in the North Burnaby/Lougheed Mall area, 1 day per week, with our 7 year old boy with autism. You will be working under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst to implement the intervention program based on the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA).
Our son is fun and energetic, loves reading, writing, math, Minecraft and playing card games!
You will be expected to attend bi-monthly team meetings. You will receive ongoing training from the Behaviour Consultant.
Hours: any day Monday – Wednesday, 4-6pm.
Qualifications:
Energetic and enthusiastic; strong play skills
Background in related field is an asset (e.g. psychology, education, speech and language pathology)
Experience working with children and/or children with autism
Minimum 19 years of age
Clear criminal record check completed within last 12 months
Full Covid-19 vaccination required; all family members 12+ have been fully vaccinated.
Minimum commitment for one year please.
