Activity and community inclusion support worker

Job Description

We are a small non-profit Microboard, that is dedicated to our young adult to guide a self-directed life. As support worker for our microboard, you’ll build relationships, improve the quality of life by having him experience and enjoy activities in the community and home.

Your job will be to help this young man to enjoy life, by assisting with activities within the community and surrounding area and facilitating social interactions and help managing Autism behaviours. Your compassion and diligence as a support worker will bring joy to his life and will help him feel encouraged, involved, and included.

Duties include (but aren’t limited to):

– Assisting and supporting the individual in daily activities that includes academic work
– Providing companionship
– Facilitating community and recreational outings
– Working on communication skills following our behaviour analyst instructions.

Job Type: Part time up to 30 hours

Pay: $26/hr + flat rate for gas.

Work location:

Individual’s home and surrounding community

Pay frequency: by weekly
