CLIENT DETAILS:
26yr old man with CP
Fun loving, intelligent and friendly.
Student at TWU studying sports management.
Works for Complex Hockey as a Hockey Coordinator and Scout.
Lives semi-independently in parent’s basement suite in East Cloverdale.
HomeBase App is used for scheduling “Brendens Team”
He loves all sports, most especially ice hockey.
NURSING NEEDS:
Morning routine: Showering/external catheter prep/breakfast prep and feeding/medication.
2hr shifts (8am-10am or flex)
Bedtime routine: Shower if needed/external catheter prep/snack prep and feeding/medication.
2hr shifts (8pm-10pm or flex)
Personal Services Worker (PSW) NEEDS:
Daily activity (wheelchair accessible van use)
Lunch prep and feeding.
Daily needs such as grocery shopping, doctors, and personal grooming appointments.
Light housekeeping and laundry.
4hr, 6hr or 8hr Shifts (10am-8pm or flex).
NURSING SKILLS REQUIRED:
Experience preferred but not mandatory:
– power wheelchairs
– track lift and sling (bed to chair and vice versa)
– external catheter
– skin care
(Will train if nurse deficient in any of these areas)
PSW SKILLS REQUIRED:
Experience preferred but not mandatory:
– power wheelchairs
– driver’s license (drivers abstract will be required)
(Will train if nurse deficient in any of these areas)
ALL CANDIDATES MUST HAVE CRIMINAL RECORD CHECK.
PAY COMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCE $18-$25ph
